| Description: | The Kayes Bridge crosses the Senegal River. Its structural components are reinforced concrete supports and foundations, and reinforced concrete deck over a steel superstructure. Its width is 11.8 m and its length is 420 m made up of 13 identical spans of 32.3 m each. The mandate included the collection of all possible data on the structure, topographical surveys, geotechnical investigations, detailed surveys of damages and qualitative and quantitative analyses of structural degradations. In addition, the mandate called for the design of a repair work methodology, technical specifications, tender documentation and confidential cost estimate. |
